Leprechaun Lexicon = Happy: Now THAT'S A Promotion, Earning AIM's Business, One Day At A Time
Posted on 2008.03.10 at 07:06Thursday night Chapman Ad Club's Circle Advertising Agency pulled off a stunningly beautiful promotion, Word Yourself, for Time Warner's AIM, the instant messaging service managed by its AOL division and used by a vast number of 18-24 year olds nationwide.
Circle invested weeks and weeks of planning in Word Yourself.
It all came together Thursday afternoon on Sound Stage B at the Marion Knott Studios at Chapman University.
We AIM at all times to be grateful to Marion Knott:
There would be no Word Yourself for AIM as we know it if not for Marion Knott.
The scene Thursday afternoon, before the event: It was an all-hands-on-deck work meeting.
Craziness ensued.
Still, there was reason to smile...
and smile...
and smile...
and take mental notes...
and figure things out...
and smile...
and contemplate the camera in your face...
and smile...
and write words on big paper...
and express awe...
and point...
and listen to music...
and dangle from the wall...
and make decisions...
and wrap your entire mind around it, and your heart, too...
and write more words on more big paper...
and avoid the camera if that's the way you feel...
and work together as a team because how fun is that?
Lots.
And lots of fun.
It's a word game...
What does it mean?
Bootilicious?
That's what they said...
We believe them.
They're the kids of the Chapman Ad Club.
We love every single one of them, including the ones not yet pictured herein.
On Thursday night their words rocked the University.
They did it for one reason and one reason only.
AIM
